Family Tree ("the app") lets people build a shared family tree. This page explains what data the app handles. This is a starting template — review it with a lawyer before publishing.

What we collect

• Account: your Google account name, email, and profile photo, used to sign you in.
• Family data you enter: names, photos, dates of birth/death, professions, and notes about family members you add.
• Device data: a push notification token and crash diagnostics.

Information about other people

When you add a relative you are entering personal data about someone else. Only add information you have the right to share. Any relative can claim their own profile and edit or request removal of their data by contacting us.

How data is stored

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Authentication). Family details are visible to other signed-in members connected to the same tree.

Your choices

You can delete your account and the profile you own from within the app, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your account and self profile; shared relationship links may be retained by other family members.
